Attorney Robert Cabe is a former prosecutor and business attorney.

Now, he focuses his practice on helping families of those injured, killed, or arrested. His practice focuses on personal injury and criminal defense.

Raised in Lizella, Georgia, Mr. Cabe spent most of his time outside school working for his family’s businesses. Work ethic was preached at an early age.

After graduating from the University of Georgia, Mr. Cabe worked as a teacher and coach for the Bibb County Public Schools. Unfortunately, Mr. Cabe would eventually face some of his former students in the court room.

A student on my wrestling team was sentenced to life in prison for murder. On the other hand, one of my former football players was exonerated for a murder he didn’t commit. The true killer confessed years later. I coached these guys. I taught them, and watched them grow. Some for better; some for worse. So yes, you can say coaching young men and watching them struggle to get out … That gave me a perspective most people just don’t have.

Education

Mr. Cabe graduated from Mercer University School of Law after receiving numerous accolades. He won first place in the school’s Closing Argument Competition, and was the youngest competitor to do so in the school’s history. He also placed second in a National Moot Court Competition. Mr. Cabe received the “CALI” award for the highest grade point average in numerous classes. Prior to graduating, he was elected President of the Phi Delta Phi Legal Honor Society.

Mr. Cabe’s service for Mercer Law School did not end at graduation. He served as adjunct staff coaching the school’s trial advocacy teams. For years, his teams competed against other law schools across the United States.

Work

Mr. Cabe began his legal career for the corporate law firm Spivey, Pope, and Green. While there, Mr. Cabe represented businesses facing lawsuits from disgruntled employees, customers, and competitors. He also helped secure money judgments on a select number of personal injury cases. His experience in helping those clients fueled his passion to leave business law, and specialize in personal injury.

Prior to dedicating his practice to personal injury, Mr. Cabe wanted to gain the court room experience that so many injury attorneys lack. For this reason, he took a position as a prosecutor for the Macon Judicial Circuit. While at the District Attorney’s Office, Mr. Cabe was promoted to prosecute a “general docket” allowing him to prosecute major felonies such as robbery, rape, child molestation, and murder. Uniquely, Mr. Cabe was also assigned to prosecute every DUI case in two counties. This unique caseload gave Mr. Cabe the unparalleled court room experience he carries today, as well as an intimate knowledge of the criminal justice system – from speeding ticket to murder.

After working for the State, Mr. Cabe joined the Mayo Hill law firm. While there, he honed his skills in personal injury. Mr. Cabe served as lead counsel on numerous car wrecks, slip and fall, medical malpractice, and wrongful death cases. He successfully secured millions of dollars on behalf of his clients. So much so that Mr. Cabe earned a reputation as a “relentless” attorney that refused to back down from insurance companies and big firm lawyers.

Now, attorney Robert Cabe utilizes his years of experience as both a prosecutor and personal injury attorney to provide you with top notch personal representation.

When not practicing law, Mr. Cabe enjoys spending time with his growing family, golfing, hunting, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
