A truck driver drove his leased rig through Georgia. He was stopped and ordered out of his truck at gun point after an officer learned that the trailer was reported stolen. The driver attempted to explain that he lawfully leased the trailer from a reputable broker,and could produce documents to prove it. The officer scoffed, and arrested the driver for felony theft. Cabe Law was retained to investigate.
Mr. Cabe obtained the lease documents, verified leasing information with independent witnesses, and PROVED that the driver had no knowledge that the trailer was apparently stolen. As a result, all charges were dismissed.
